Plot Overview
The story revolves around
Jyothirmayi’s character Reethu,
who is suffering from Amnesia and
is stuck between switching her
personality from being normal to
being miserable as she can’t
remember things that
happened in her past. Whereas the
other main lead, Kunchacko
Boban, as Reethu’s husband,
Royce, a professional doctor and
an ideal husband, takes care of his
wife, who is going through her
illness. Then comes the entry of
Fahadh Faasil as ACP David
Koshy IPS, the investigating officer
Introduction
Movie Bougainvillea is an action and
murder thriller Malayalam movie directed
by Amal Neerad and released on 17th
October 2024, starring Kunchacko Boban,
Jyothirmayi, and Fahadh Faasil, with a
screenplay written by Lajo Jose, Amal
Neerad, and R.J. Murugan as a
collaborative effort. It is said to be
inspired by Lajo Jose's novel, Ruthinte
Lokam (2019), and a great comeback for
the actress Jyothirmayi after an 11-year
gap.
The Mystery
Unfolds
From this part, the story gets interesting as
they find some CCTV footage and call
have Reethu for interrogation, where she gives
inconsistent answers, and they think of her
as the suspect. Because of Reethu’s
medical condition one criminologist is
appointed where as she understands
certain things about her life and that’s
where the story has it’s mystery hidden
and as the police get closer to the culprit
